Classic Trials competition, Mt Thomas Classic Trial, Kerry Miles Farm, Mt Thomas Rd, off Oxford Rd, Canterbury, held on Oct 11th 2009.
The course was marked out / designed by Kerry Miles, with 8 sections that had something for everybody, and 4 laps.
The Trial started prompt at 10am with over 30 riders and a few spectators, we all enjoyed the great sunshine, some tricky sections, less dramatic, but still nicking marks – even from the better riders – were sections four and five, lurking at the bottom of the wooded bank. The middle section on the bank, second or third gear, a deep breath and nerves of steel were the order of the day for this little beauty – but even that wasn’t enough in all cases. And, while the clubman route through the section was eased considerably, the steep exit still caused a few problems.
Section eight the River, nicked a few points, with two very tight turns and a awkward drop off the bank.
A good classic trial, and a great day was had by all, PS Big thanks to Peter for always supplying a good BBQ.
If I have spelt your name wrong, or ballsed up completely, please let me know plus I missing a few names, so help me out, just send me an Email.

If you're thinking about getting into Trials and having some fun on a old trials bike why not come along and see what it's all about.
Riders need good balance, throttle control and skill to negotiate tough hazards or 'sections', such as rock piles, stream beds, twists and turns over tree roots and hill climbs. There is no real speed component and riders are marked on their ability to ride the course without stopping or putting a foot down. Riders choose a level suitable for them and their bike, the emphasis will be on a fun ride without breaking bike or body.
Its the cheapest motorcycle sport to get into and you can take it to any level you want.
So come along and see what it's all about.
